Happy Valentine's Day! To celebrate this (kinda sucky) day, the sisters continue their conversation on dating that they started many months ago. Last time, they covered how teens start dating and "talking to" someone, and now they're here to tell you how to go on the most successful teen dates throughout the years, from ample parking space dates to "Netflix and chilling." We hope you have a decent Valentine's Day and don't eat any of those chalky conversation hearts (even though Teylor loves them.)

Since the older sisters and many more teens of yesterday have been dying to know, this week, Rileigh finally explains YouTube and all of its secrets. From why teen girls want to know what other teen girls just bought at the store to how to make that sweet sweet YouTube money, Rileigh covers it all while the oldest Smirl girls reminisce on the first viral internet videos. Oh and there's a cat in this episode too.

Even though the beginning of this week's episode sounds like we've started a new Riverdale fan/hatecast, I promise we haven't, we just get really passionate about Archie and teen dramas. Since we needed to discuss the legitimacy of this new show, we thought it would be fitting to discuss the idea of fan-ing out over celebrities, and find out that all three of us have done some somewhat creepy-ish things over the years...

In this week's very timely episode, the sisters discuss a somewhat more sensitive topic (and one that makes Rileigh very uncomfortable at times), birth control. Since birth control is a phrase most all teenagers have had to hear or even experience at some point in their lives, the sisters thought this discussion would shed some light on the stigma and social acceptability of birth control throughout the years. Also, there's a lot of butt talk this episode so...there's that.

Hey everybody. We just wanted to take a second to apologize for the less than great audio quality of this week's episode. We're sorry if it made it hard to listen, and we'll be back with a much clearer episode next week. Thank you for understanding.

As the cold, dreary winter season continues to make life a little bit worse for everybody, the sisters reflect on one of the only enjoyable factors of winter during school, snow days. From the trio's combined hatred of winter sports, to the pure joy they all felt when waking up to find school had been cancelled, to learning some surprising slang terms for snow, the sisters have covered all the bases this week and hope you can relate to at least one of those feelings. (Also, it's been one year since Still Buffering began! Thank you all for your continued support and love.)

Jan 10, 2017

We aren't really sure what happened this week, we planned on talking about jobs and somehow the majority of this episode is about troll butts, Batman pizza, and Sydnee's new boat life. So...we tried to stay on topic and we hope you gain at least a bit of insight about teen jobs (but that might be hard to do.)

Happy New Year from the Smirl sisters to you! It's finally 2017, and we're all happy that 2016 is over. But, is New Year's even really a holiday when you're a teen, and how do teens actually celebrate it when they can't party and none of them have the "sacrificial parent?" I guess they could have musical theatre nerd parties like Sydnee did (but they sound kinda lame.) Find out the answers to all of these and more on this week's episode, and join us in ringing in the New Year!

As the holiday season comes to a close, it's time to think about what the most important thing is to do after you receive all of those lovely, thoughtful holiday presents...return them all. This week the sisters try to determine a set of rules for returning and re-gifting presents from the holidays and realize that Claire's is a never-ending, sacrificial pit of food-shaped earrings and fake glasses.

Dec 20, 2016

It's the most wonderful time of the year yet again, and we want to celebrate with you! Come join us as we decide what the best holiday movies, music, and traditions are and make some classic holiday season goofs. (And Sydnee does this whole bit with a pen but you don't have to laugh no one is really sure why she did it) Merry Mid-Darkmas to you and yours!

As the testing season begins for most high schoolers (including Rileigh), the sisters remember some of their favorite memories of school tests and college-entry tests and try to give their youngest and most stressed out sister some advice. Which seems to include a lot of talk about...power donuts?

This week, the sisters are joined by a very special guest who knows more about video games than anyone they know, America's favorite oldest brother, Justin McElroy! Join us as we take a journey through the ever-changing world of video games and learn that Justin's teen experience would be described as...there?

In another special late-night edition of the show, the sisters tackle a more serious topic: bullying. All three have many stories to share, many of them about bullies that were surprisingly thorough and dedicated to their bits. But don't worry, the sisters have moved on from those terrible middle school days and are ready to goof about them and hopefully help some of you who may be dealing with some bullies right now.

Nov 22, 2016

It's Turkey Season! So join the sisters in discussing some of the best holiday traditions and figuring out who all of the people in their family are. Are they the only ones with randos at their Thanksgiving? Or maybe are they the only family too awkward to say anything? Find out the answers to these questions and more on this special Turkey episode! (Gobble gobble)

Rileigh has a ton of homework to do, so to help her, her sisters decided to talk about homework for an hour with her, which doesn't really help with the fact she has a lot of work to do, but it was fun! So join the sisters in recounting some of their favorite...and not so favorite school assignments and projects all while hearing about the countless times they incorporated food into their assignments.

Nov 9, 2016

This week, the sisters set out to answer a question that's been a staple of the show's description since the beginning, what do I do with all this hair everywhere? Teylo becomes the resident history buff and Rileigh shares a pretty in depth description of her leg post-cast. It sure is a weird one this week, but it's what we all need right about now.

Nov 1, 2016

It may be November now, but it's still spooky in the States for at least another week since it's the spookiest season of them all...Election Season! In celebration of the upcoming election, the sisters wanted to give everyone a bit of help just so you know exactly how to vote (since it's super important!) And Rileigh explains why Thanksgiving is just Pre-Christmas too, so Merry Christmas/Election Season everyone!

Oct 26, 2016

As the spooky season comes to a close, the sisters take a minute to reflect on their past Halloween costumes and some of the most popular ones from their times and share what they're going to be for this Halloween. But, there's also a very extensive conversation about the existence of a sexy poop emoji costume.

Oct 18, 2016

As a continuation of the sisters' month long celebration of the spookiest month of the year, this week, they discussed all of their favorite monsters! From vampire vs werewolf stereotypes and who the best witch is, they discussed it all. They even decided which kind of monster they think they would be if they were one, and the answers aren't really all that surprising, if you know these sisters.

Oct 11, 2016

It's officially spooky season! Or as Rileigh would call it, "spoopy" season. To celebrate this most wonderful time of the year, the sisters discuss some of their most favorite scary movies and tv series, where we learn Sydnee has been the victim of some pretty spooky baby monitor pranks.

Oct 4, 2016

This week, Sydnee and Teylor realize that Rileigh is like an old person when it comes to sleep, which is to say, she loves it and needs to go to bed early and sleep late every day. In order to break her of these habits, the older sisters recount their favorite late night activities, which apparently include minor misdemeanors?

Sep 27, 2016

It's spirit week and you know what that means! It's time for Pajama Day, Character Day, and...a day to dress as a giant pink hard candy? As the older sisters take a journey back through their experiences with spirit week and pep rallies, they try to advice Rileigh on how she should dress for her spirit week, but it doesn't seem like she's going to be taking their advice.

Sep 20, 2016

Join the sisters in celebrating this week, as the babiest Smirl Girl has finally gotten her driver's license! To commemorate this momentous occasion, the sisters talk about some of their favorite things from their teen years to do for fun! Because what's not celebratory about sweaty hemp chokers and Tamagotchi poop?

Sep 12, 2016

Sadly, the littlest of the sisters has had a rough weekend, after failing her driver's test and missing out on a party with her friends. But not to fear! Her sisters are here to share their driving mishaps and misfortunes, including the answer behind why Syd's car always smelled like meat and what song Tey hated so much it caused a wreck.

Sep 6, 2016

In this week's much anticipated episode, the sisters finally figure out what all of the new hot teen slang words of today mean! And in doing so, they create their own Smirl Girl Dictionary which includes a few questionable words. Huzzah!
